Our work in Scotland
WWF Scotland works on campaigns that help to make the world a better place for people and wildlife. With the help of our campaigners we tackle issues that are relevant to the people of Scotland.
If everyone in the world lived like we do in Scotland, we’d need three planets – not just one – to support us. It’s a way of life that’s threatening the future of our natural environment, as well as millions of people around the world.
WWF Scotland puts pressure on government, parliament and industry to make the changes needed to alter our three-planet lifestyles, and build a life where people and nature thrive within their fair share of the Earth’s natural resources. This means campaigning on the key areas that have the biggest impact in Scotland and the UK – our homes, transport, food the energy we use and our oceans.
Our Current Campaigns
Scottish Climate Change Act
The Scottish Government received almost 20,000 messages from WWF supporters demanding a Scottish Climate Change Bill that leads the world in the fight to tackle climate change. And we got there!
Scottish Marine Bill
A Scottish Marine Bill is a unique opportunity to stop the deterioration of Scottish seas.
